The Alvarez Family - Christmas Photos.

So, I have had several shoots this past year. However, all of them have been with people I have known and whatnot.

Last Sunday, that changed.
Meet the Alvarez family, who got my number through a family friend.
I was scared out of my mind.
However! The shoot turned out great and they were alot of fun.

They asked me to take pictures for Christmas, and Michelle asked me to take a few maternity pictures.

So. Last week I had a birthday shoot with my lovely friend Kasey.
I loooooove doing shoots with her! This is our second one and she is just adorable.

Okay. I'm for sure going to India. $3600 dollars left to go, I'm going to be there from May 23rd-ish to August 18th-ish. Can you say excited? I'm ecstatic.
Junior year has begun.
I can drive legally.
I got in my first trouble with the police. [Just curfew, no fears.]
Still no job...
Got paid to take pictures for the very first time.

India

Hey guys!
I just wanted to ask for a little bit of prayer.
I really feel like God is telling me to go to India.
My entire life, my whole family has gone on several mission trips. I've had several opportunities to go, but I've never felt called to missions. I think if I had ever gone on one, it would have been like a vacation, and not a mission trip. Does that make sense?
However, about two weeks ago I started to get a real heart for Ethiopia. I don't know why. God had just put it on my heart to pray for Ethiopia, so I have. Then it started getting weird. Every time I did my quiet time, went to church, listened to the radio, whatever, something was said about missions. I was really skeptical as to whether or not it was from God [as if it isn't obvious], considering I'd never felt called before.
Last night, we had two guests at our church: a woman and her son. The were from India. They asked us to pray for India and whatnot, and told their stories. Right from the beginning, a lightbulb went off in my head. It was like God was yelling, "JO! This is IT!" and it just got more and more persistant the longer I listened.
So! With that said, I need you guys to pray for me. For wisdom in knowing what God wants me to do, for finding a way to get to India, all that!
However, that is all for now. There's a little boy who needs my attention. {babysitting!}

My Millicent Conversation

Drama Regionals.

So. The past two days have been very hectic. I was in Bethany, OK for Speech/Drama/Debate Regionals.
I took Dramatic Interpretation, Dramatic Duet, and Monologue.
I am Regional Champion in Dramatic Duet, along with my partner Kasey (yes, the one whose pictures are further down the page.)
I am Regional Runner-Up in Dramatic Interp, and I beat a girl from Lone Grove I've been wanting to beat since I first saw her. So. I'm very happy with that.
In Monologue, I got fifth. Now, I'm no so happy with that. Don't get me wrong, I don't think anything is bad about getting fifth, but I just don't want to go to State in Monologue.
Monologue requires one half humorous, one half dramatic. I am NOT a humorous actress.
Therefore, I don't want to do it any more. Hah. But!

I took a few not-so-good experimental photos during nursery on Sunday with my Canon...and they are all pretty grainy because I hadn't figured out the concept of ISO levels yet. But! I chose my favorites.
